Job Description

The Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Airbyte plays a crucial role by providing proactive technical guidance. They ensure customers realize the full value Airbyte can provide. TAMs collaborate with enterprise and strategic customers as a technical expert. They help customers speed deployments and accelerate return on investment and expansion. The TAM will provide technical guidance on custom integrations and create strong customer relationships. They will consult on the Airbyte product from onboarding to active deployments and escalations.
Must have:
  • 3+ years of technical consulting or support experience
  • 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role
  • Manage customer relationships independently
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes and DevOps tools
  • Ability to write and maintain code in scripting languages
Good to have:
  • Sales Engineering experience a plus
  • Technical writing experience a plus

Opportunity

Airbyte’s Technical Account Managers play a crucial role by providing proactive technical guidance to ensure customers are able to realize the full value Airbyte can provide their organization. Technical Account Managers collaborate with enterprise, strategic, and at-risk customers as a strategic and technical expert and help customers speed deployments and accelerate return on investment and expansion.

Airbyte TAMs work on all products and partner with AEs, SEs, Support and Product to make the customer successful.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide technical guidance on custom integrations, helping customers identify and mitigate risks in their technical approaches
  • Create strong technical customer relationships at all levels; advocate their needs
  • Consult on the Airbyte product to deliver customer outcomes: from onboarding to active deployments to ongoing checkins and as needed escalations
  • Own a book of business of key Mid Market customers 
  • Support renewal activities by identifying customers at risk and working with sales team on mitigation plans
  • Create strong internal relationships and deliver feedback to engineering and product teams for future products and offerings.

What You’ll Need

  • 3+ years of technology implementation, technical consulting or dedicated technical support
  • 3+ years in a customer-facing technical role, preferably with a SaaS B2B company
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage customer relationships and develop strategies to drive success with new technologies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Working knowledge of Kubernetes, Terraform, and other DevOps automation tools.
  • Ability to write and maintain code in at least one modern scripting language (e.g., Python, Node.js, Bash).
  • Sales Engineering experience a plus
  • Technical writing experience a plus

Location

  • San Francisco. Onsite 3x/week.

Salary

  • $125,000 - $145,000 Base + Variable + a generous equity package, and benefits listed below for the US Market.
