Jagex are looking to hire a Technical Product Manager to help guide us through the next iteration of OSRS content creation.

This is an exciting opportunity to help drive the success of Old School RuneScape and play a vital part in delivering on our product strategy.

The role will include: Defining product specifications, managing the technical product roadmap and applying a player-centric, business focused mindset to help drive continued improvement across the product.

What you'll be doing:

    • Contribute to the long-term vision for Old School RuneScape and help deliver on Jagex’s values and mission through its product strategy. 
    • To prioritise projects in the technical product roadmap and co-ordinate effectively between the  engineering, product management teams and external stakeholders. 
    • To work with business intelligence teams to provide supporting data analysis for new features and incremental improvements, understanding how product changes might impact key metrics and the game’s player base. 
    • Ability to work well with internal teams, including developers, engineers, architects, quality assurance, and operations. Ensure requirements are fully understood and that implementation plans match expectations. 
    • Understand, research, and follow technical trends in the industry and in general.  
    • Co-ordinate customer research, beta tests and management of player feedback. 
    • Ability to uncover and understand customer needs and translate them into product requirements. 
    • Define success criteria for testing and product acceptance, monitoring and communicating  progress toward KPI targets business goals. 
    • To work with product development teams to ensure features and updates are implemented with the optimal user experience and in compliance with external platform holders. 

What you'll need:

    • Experience working as a Product Manager focusing on the technical aspects of a product. 
    • A strong technical understanding, either having previously worked in a technical role or through technical training. 
    • Demonstrable expertise in integrating data-driven methods into product management and team decisions. 
    • Proven experience in building and sustaining cross functional relationships. 
    • A player-centric mindset, with a commitment to enhancing the gaming experience based on user feedback/data and an understanding of how to interact with both developers and the community to improve the game. 
    • Experience working with game tooling and server infrastructure is highly desired, but not a pre-requisite.
