Job Description

This role involves testing and upgrading European vehicle machine software, troubleshooting software and hardware issues for an infotainment system. The system, supplied by a Tier 1 company to an OEM, includes navigation, media playback, vehicle controls, HUD, driver display, and a 360° camera parking assist. Testing is primarily manual, using vehicles or a HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) test bench. Responsibilities include formulating test plans, writing test cases, analyzing test results, and tracking defects. The system uses Android and QNX operating systems. Tools used include DSA, ADB, and CANoe.

Must have:

Automotive experience
English (B2)
Test plan formulation
Defect analysis & tracking
Software/hardware testing

Good to have:

Vehicle test experience
Basic C++ knowledge
Android/ADB experience
Chinese speaking
Driving experience

Project description

European vehicle machine software testing and upgrading, follow-up and solution of software and hardware issues.

What we are testing?

Infotainment system provided by a tier 1 company to an OEM. This system includes functions like.
1. navigation
2. Media ( Online music, Radio, BT music, USB music)
3. vehicle control ( Mirrors, windows, AC, sunroof, ambient Light)
4. HUD
5. Drivers Display ( Cluster Instrument)
6. 360* camera parking assist.
Etc. are some of the functions provided by this system.
The ivi system is based on Android and QNX system.
Mainly manual testing is done either in a vehicle or HIL (Test bench)
Tools needed:
DSA (Diagnostics tool from Volvo)
ADB ( for android Platform)
canoe ( for LIN and Flexray communication between different ECUs)

Responsibilities

Formulation of road test solutions and test plans, preparation of test documentation;

To be responsible for specific test project analysis, writing of test cases, defect analysis and defect's tracking;

To test of the product's software functions and performance;

To be responsible for analyzing test results and writing test reports.
