Video Editor

We’re looking for a passionate Video Editor with 2-3 years of experience to join the production team at 1000heads APAC, based in Kuala Lumpur.

This role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with designers, social strategists, community managers, data analysts, and account teams across a diverse range of brands in Tech, Fashion, Automotive, and Service industries.

As a Video Editor, you’ll support our Video Production Specialist and wider production team by crafting social-first, thumb-stopping content. You’ll be involved in all stages—from ideation and storyboarding through to assisting in shoots to post-production and delivery.

Familiarity with tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro is a strong plus as is a working knowledge of framerates, codecs, proxies, colour grading, and sound design. An understanding of evolving social content formats and digital trends is key to success in this role.

Role

• Edit and deliver high-quality video content using Adobe Premiere Pro
• Assist in the conceptualisation and development of creative briefs
• Contribute to creative ideation and social-first storytelling
• Create storyboards and develop campaign visual direction
• Stay current with social media trends, content formats, and platform specs
• Ensure all assets are well-finished, on-brand, on-budget, and on time
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver projects smoothly
• Embrace evolving tech and editing practices
• Support the production team with reasonable ad hoc tasks
• Apply storytelling techniques that resonate with digital audiences
