Job Details

Why Join Us?
To put it simply: You’ll collaborate with exceptional colleagues to create top-tier, high-quality interactive experiences for the highly acclaimed new title, “Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra”.  We set out to build an uncompromising vision for a game studio and found the ideal partner in Skydance to extend its reach and sustainability. To fully deliver our vision for these games we assembled the best external development, publishing and IP partners in the world. Our internal team will remain small relative to other AAA developers so we can all maintain the highest levels of familiarity, trust and effectiveness. You’ll be surrounded by industry veterans, currently with an average of 20 years’ experience, in a climate of mutual trust, maturity, candor and playful collaboration. We believe that life’s too short to work with difficult people, regardless of talent, so exceptional character and strong principles are requirements for every role. Your days will be focused on solving creative and technical problems, not navigating corporate politics.

We are open to a spectrum of remote working and office scenarios for staff. This will include regular team get-togethers and travel throughout the year, so we benefit from the best of both worlds – flexibility and efficiency as well as team cohesion.

Skydance New Media is open to hiring remote employees within California and Vancouver, British Columbia.  Applicants must be willing to relocate to one of these locations.

Working closely with other members of the cinematics team, you will ensure that our game meets the cinematic standards set by our team.

In This Role, You Will:

    • Organize raw behind-the-scenes footage and audio for future marketing needs.

    • Refine all these processes where there are opportunities to be more efficient or improve quality.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in video editing and post-production to continually improve skills and techniques.
    • Assist in the maintenance and organization of video production equipment, including cameras and editing software, to ensure optimal performance and functionality.

We Are Looking For People Who Meet the Following Qualifications:

    • Solid understanding of video compression formats, codecs, frame rates, and resolution standards for web, social media, and broadcast delivery.
    • Excellent attention to detail, with a keen eye for visual composition, pacing, and storytelling in video content.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
    • Passion for video games and a deep appreciation for the artistry and craftsmanship involved in creating interactive entertainment experiences.

    • Preferred:
    • Previous experience in video game development or the gaming industry.
    • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Autodesk Maya is a plus.
    • Familiarity with game capture software and hardware, such as OBS Studio or Elgato Game Capture.
