Job Description

The Warehouse Technician will receive, verify, store, secure, locate, and ship raw materials and finished goods. This includes unloading and loading trucks using mechanical and manual means, verifying inventory, delivering materials using forklifts, recording transactions in inventory control systems, and using the SAP system for receiving and shipping orders. The role requires following instructions, being available for overtime, and operating various equipment like forklifts and pallet wrappers. The work environment involves both inside and outside work with moderate hazards, and the physical requirements include medium, heavy, and occasionally very heavy work. The employee is required to follow company safety rules and keep the work area clean and orderly. They must be able to work in a team environment, cross-train in other warehouses, and may be subject to seasonal temperature extremes.

We have an opportunity for a 1st shift Warehouse Technician. You will receive, verify, store, secure, locate and ship raw materials and finished goods inventories.


Required:  Ability to take and follow instructions, be available for overtime on a regular basis, ability to communicate, read and write in English, drive forklift and perform moderate to heavy lifting. 

Major Job Functions:

1.    Unload and load trucks in an efficient manner using mechanical and manual means.
a.    Verify inventory and accuracy of shipping and receiving forms.
2.    Deliver raw materials and finished goods using hand or forklift truck to proper departments, cells or other storage areas.  Pick and palletize orders for shipment.
3.    Accurately record in a timely manner all assigned receiving, inventory control and general warehousing transactions.
4.    Use of current production and inventory control systems and software.
5.    Must know how to use SAP system to be able to receive and ship orders. (Domestic and Export)

Work Environment:

1.    Moderately hazardous inside work.
2.    Moderately hazardous outside work.

Equipment Used:

1.    Forklift/Order picker/High reach lift truck
2.    Hand trucks/Pallet jacks
3.    Scales
4.    The ability to use a foam machine
5.    Pallet wrapper
6.    CRT/PC
7.    Yard horse

Physical Requirements:

1.    Medium work frequently 
2.    Heavy work frequently 
3.    Very heavy work infrequently

Compensation:
For this temp position working at this location, the anticipated hourly pay for this role is $18.00 per hour.


Additional Information:

    As directed in a thorough and regular manner to ensure the meeting of established requirements, employee is required to work from verbal instructions, written work instructions and quality plans with minimal supervision.
    Follow company safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
    Learn 5S Program
    Employee must be able to work in a team environment.
    Cross train in other warehouses. 
    Tank Hazmat Training 
    Subject to seasonal temperature extremes.
    Forklift operation-license required.
    Perform other duties as required.
