Job Description
This Web Solutions Engineer III role at YouTube's Business Technology team involves designing, building, and deploying software platforms. Responsibilities include ensuring technical solution accuracy, collaborating with product leads and engineers to enhance core platforms, and creating applications using Google's software development tools. The role also requires writing and reviewing technical documents, code reviews, analyzing programs for efficiency, and executing testing and maintenance updates. Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
- 4+ years full-stack development & system design
- Experience with front-end (JavaScript/TypeScript)
- Experience with back-end (Java, Python, or C++)
- Database experience (SQL, NoSQL)
- Software platform design, build, deployment
Good to have:
- Multiple programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, TypeScript)
- Experience with collaborative code review systems
- Version control, integration & automated testing
- System/product design and launch experience
- Protocol Buffers experience

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Math or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in full-stack software development and system design.
- Experience with front-end languages (e.g., JavaScript or TypeScript).
- Experience with back-end languages (e.g., Java, Python, or C++).
- Experience in working with database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in multiple programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript, Typescript, etc.).
- Experience in working with systems for collaborative code reviews, version control, integration and automated testing.
- Experience with creating system/product designs and leading them to launch.
- Experience with Protocol Buffers.

Responsibilities

- Write and review technical documents, including design, development, revision documents and review code in compiled or scripted languages.
- Analyze, review, and modify programs to increase operating efficiency or meet new requirements and execute testing, debugging, maintenance or program updates.
