Job Description

The AML Manager at Casumo will lead the company's Anti-Money Laundering (AML) framework, ensuring compliance with global regulations. Responsibilities include managing AML policies, procedures, and controls; conducting investigations into suspicious activities; filing SARs and other reports; developing AML training programs; leading risk-based AML compliance, including CDD and EDD; collaborating with other departments; and ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements. The ideal candidate will have previous AML experience in iGaming, leadership experience, strong knowledge of AML/CTF/EDD/KYC best practices, and excellent communication skills.

Nowadays, we’re on the hunt for an experienced AML Manager to lead our anti-money laundering efforts and ensure we remain at the top of our compliance game.

Position Overview:
As our AML Manager, you'll be the mastermind behind Casumo’s Anti-Money Laundering (AML) framework, ensuring that our operations comply with global regulatory requirements. From managing investigations to overseeing reporting and compliance, you’ll play a crucial role in protecting the integrity of our platform. If you're passionate about combating financial crime in the iGaming space and thrive in a leadership role, this might be your next big win!


Responsibilities:

  1. AML Programme Management:
    • Oversee and continuously improve the company's AML policies, procedures, and controls.

    • Ensure the AML framework aligns with the regulatory requirements of various jurisdictions where the company operates.

    • Regularly review and update the risk assessment procedures in line with evolving regulations and business operations.

  2. Monitoring & Investigations:
    • Oversee the daily monitoring of player activities to identify potentially suspicious transactions.

    • Conduct thorough investigations into unusual or suspicious activity and escalate findings as necessary.

    • Analyze data and trends to detect potential money laundering activities and implement corrective measures where necessary.

  3. Reporting & Compliance:
    • Ensure timely filing of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and other required reports to the relevant authorities.

    • Maintain and keep up-to-date records of all reports, investigations, and findings.

    • Liaise with regulators, auditors, and law enforcement when required to provide necessary reports and updates.

  4. Staff Training & Awareness:
    • Develop and deliver AML training programs for employees, ensuring that staff are aware of their obligations in relation to AML laws and policies.

    • Promote a culture of compliance and ethics across the organization.

  5. Risk Management & Due Diligence:
    • Lead the risk-based approach to AML compliance, ensuring that customer due diligence (CDD) and enhanced due diligence (EDD) procedures are followed.

    • Monitor the KYC (Know Your Customer) process to verify and assess the risk level of customers, especially high-risk players.

    • Work closely with the onboarding team to ensure proper vetting and risk assessment of new clients.

  6. Cross-Department Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other departments to ensure a holistic approach to preventing money laundering and financial crime.

  7. Regulatory Reporting and Documentation:
    • Ensure compliance with relevant AML regulations and reporting requirements from jurisdictions where the business operates.

    • Maintain a current understanding of changes in AML laws and regulations across global markets and update internal policies accordingly.



Requirements:

  • Previous AML experience in the iGaming industry – you know the ins and outs of gaming compliance.

  • Leadership experience – you’ve led a team and can mentor and guide compliance professionals.

  • Strong knowledge of AML, CTF (Counter-Terrorist Financing), EDD and KYC best practices.

  • Experience dealing with regulatory bodies and financial crime investigations.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and trends.

  • Excellent communication skills – you can break down complex regulations into understandable language.
