The individual will also play a key role in implementing the company's data strategy. The primary focus will be designing dynamic performance reports and dashboards, mainly using Power BI, to offer valuable insights for business evaluation and strategic planning. Collaboration with senior leadership and IT teams is essential to ensure data integrity and accessible reporting.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of experience in Power BI front-end

Job Details

We are seeking an experienced Business Insight & Reporting Specialist with expertise in Power BI Reporting/Front-end to join our Data & Digitalization team. This role will be instrumental in developing, maintaining, and optimizing reporting solutions that drive business insights, using a combination of tabular models and diverse data sources. The individual will also be a key player in implementing our data strategy. 
 

The role:

This role will focus on designing dynamic performance reports and dashboards, mainly using Power BI, to provide valuable insights for business evaluation and strategic planning. The right candidate will collaborate with senior leadership from all departments and IT teams to ensure data integrity and accessible reporting.

Furthermore, you will:

  • Design and deliver Power BI reports and dashboards highlighting KPIs on a strategic, tactical and an operational level.
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting to support the whole business to become more data driven.
  • Collaborate with teams to align reports with organizational goals.
  • Develop interactive reports and dashboards integrating data from multiple sources using Power BI.
  • Ensure reports are accessible and actionable, supporting business users in decision-making.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for reports, models, and data processes.
  • Implement controls to ensure data quality and manage access protocols.
     

The Team:

The Data & Digitalization team consists of three sub-departments: Applications, Data Strategy & Governance and BI & Architecture. You will be in the BI & Architecture team with four colleagues. All of them are located at the Aarhus office. However, you will be working closely together with Data Strategy & Governance and Applications. You will be working with and reporting for the senior leaders to support strategic decision-making based on Power BI reports.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Power BI Front-end development, with a demonstrated ability to track, analyze, and communicate financial and operational performance metrics to support informed decision-making across the business.
 

Furthermore, you have:

  • A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Intelligence, Finance, Data Science, UX Design, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Power BI front-end, financial reporting, or business intelligence, with a strong focus on performance management reporting.
  • Proven expertise in Power BI, including creating visually compelling, report and dashboards development, data modelling, DAX, and Power Query.
  • Worked with tabular models and the creating of semantic models.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial and operational performance metrics and experience reporting on KPIs such as revenue, margins, costs, and profitability.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing reporting issues.

What will make you stand out:

  • Power BI certification (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate).
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Understanding of SQL for querying data sources and enhancing reporting capabilities.
