The Challenge:

As a Data Archivist for T2, you will be engaged in all archival functions for the digital and/or physical library of the finished product of every title obtainable. You will work with other 2K organizations, promoting the resourcing of digital library footprint. Your role will require an active participation in the company's development of digital storage and preservation.

What You’ll Take On:

  • Develop and institutionalize the archival processes for digital and physical game title data
  • Define and maintain the Game IP Asset Index for the title library
  • Conduct research to identify and transition title files into archive center
  • Prepare associated title library content for marketing collateral, merchandizing artifacts and Business and Development plans. Collaboration with multiple internal and external teams
  • Migrate and maintain the data and its integrity from production asset management systems to the archival system
  • Work closely with development team points of contact and infrastructure shared services team to ensure successful location, retrieval, and upload of assets
  • Acquire appropriate approvals for asset sharing, following guidelines and preserving chain of approval, involving IP stakeholders, Legal or PR as needed
  • Facilitate archive system access permissions, asset accessibility and usage approvals
  • Facilitate and fulfill asset requests for creative teams
  • Respond to metadata requests and questions as they are reported, ensuring that tagging work is not blocked
  • Train approved non-archivist users on navigating the archive system and adhering to access and usage policies
  • Help troubleshoot system issues as needed
  • Clearly communicate status of asset ingestion with stakeholders, including goals, challenges, progress, and changes
  • Perform administrative and managerial work in directing operations and evaluations of code archive validations
  • Manage effectiveness of operational and technical manuals, and user training guides
  • Perform quality control of metadata records
  • Develop audit standards including usage reports

What You Bring:

  • Demonstrated ability handling big data projects, and processing large amounts of data with accurate indexing and storage
  • Strong understanding of industry-standard methodologies in cataloging, metadata, records management, and collections management
  • Proven ability to multi-task, work independently, and manage time effectively
  • A methodically consistent approach to repetitive tasks; Values accuracy and acute attention to detail
  • 2+ years of professional experience responsible for the organization and project coordination for an archival program. Performing appraisal and disposition, arrangement and description, or reference services work
  • Digital and Physical Archives
  • Metadata literacy
  • Experience working in the video game or entertainment industry
  • Knowledge and experience with crafting and manipulating datasets in CSV, JSON or XML formats

Great to Have:

  • Web development skills and a working understanding of data storage methodologies
  • ALA-accredited Master’s degree in Library & Information Science, Archives & Records Administration, or equivalent
