Job Description

This Design Verification Lead, Silicon role at Google requires a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering, and 5+ years of experience leading functional verification for IPs and SoCs. Responsibilities include being the primary point of contact for verification across teams, participating in defining overall verification strategy, and developing high-performance, low-power hardware. Proficiency in SystemVerilog, UVM, and scripting languages (Python, Perl) is crucial. The role involves working with architecture, design, validation, and software teams to achieve bug-free silicon in complex SoCs. Experience in various verification techniques (formal, gate-level simulation, power simulations) and leading cross-functional teams for high-quality tape-outs is essential.
Must have:
  • 5+ years experience leading functional verification for IPs and SoCs
  • SystemVerilog and UVM expertise
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python, Perl)
  • Cross-functional team leadership
  • High-quality tape-out experience
Good to have:
  • Master's degree
  • SoC or large ASIC verification experience
  • Formal verification, Gate Level Simulation, Power simulations expertise

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in driving/leading functional verification for Intellectual Properties (IPs) and System-on-a-Chip (SoCs).
  • Experience working with System Verilog and Universal Verification Methodology (UVM).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience leading design verification of an SoC or large ASICs.
  • Experience in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) for automation and analysis.
  • Technical experience in different verification techniques and methodologies, including formal, Gate Level Simulation, Unified Power Format based Power simulations, UVM, etc. to achieve bug-free Silicon in complex SoC.
  • Experience in driving cross-functional teams for high quality tape-outs.
