Job Description

The DevOps Engineer will automate and streamline operations, build tools for deployment and monitoring, and troubleshoot issues. Responsibilities include planning and executing deployments, monitoring applications with Prometheus/ELK and Grafana/Kibana, developing alerts, working with Terraform Enterprise, resolving complex tickets, conducting post-mortems, and participating in architecture discussions. The role involves working with various DevOps and ITSM tools and managing Kubernetes clusters. The candidate will also need to troubleshoot and fix the issues reported post deployment production. Conduct post-mortems and Root-Cause Analysis (RCA) to continually improve our systems and processes.
Must have:

We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for automating and streamlining our operations and processes, building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations, and troubleshooting and resolving issues in our development, test, and production environments.

What You'll Bring:

Should have excellent verbal and writing communication skills. Also, candidate should have rich experience of working with overseas clients.
Should be able to undertake tasks independently, and be able to work with the rest of stakeholders to deliver the project tasks.
Should be responsible to plan, validate and execute release deployments successfully.
Experience working with Prometheus/ELK and Grafana/Kibana for monitoring, building systems and application metrics dashboards.
Should have ability to develop and implement alerts and monitors for applications/services that include databases and servers.
Experience with Terraform Enterprise (TFE) integration to VM provision and LB creation.
Should have ability to work on high complexity tickets and resolve within the committed Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Should have good analytical and troubleshooting skills to debug and fix the issues reported post deployment production. Conduct post-mortems and Root-Cause Analysis (RCA) to continually improve our systems and processes.
Participate in platform and application architecture discussions, ensuring that all architectures support the operational excellence initiatives and will comply with defined KPIs. Analyze disaster recovery scenarios.
Learn and share knowledge of new technologies to support technically challenging projects and interested in assuming various responsibilities
Should be ready to participate in rotational shift in 24x7 mode.

 

Impact You'll Make:

Qualifications/Education:
Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field preferred.
At least 5+ years of prior experience in working with Application support environment in managing, deploying, and monitoring the applications or services.
Experience of working with modern DevOps and ITSM tools, such as Jenkins (CI/CD), Git, JSM, ServiceNow, Salesforce, ELK, Kibana, MongoDB, Grafana and Prometheus.
Experience of managing multiple Kubernetes clusters in a production environment with Public or Private cloud.
Good understanding of network architecture concepts including routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, VPN.
Should have rich experience with Oracle SQL/PLSQL and Linux with troubleshooting skills.
Should have rich experience with MySQL, SQL Server and Windows OS with troubleshooting skills.
Experience of working on non-relational/document-based databases like MongoDB will be a plus.
Must be able to initiate and complete projects with minimal direction and guidance.
Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and incident management skills.
Should have ability to develop scripts (shell, ansible, python) as required to automate the processes.

This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.
