Job Description

The Senior Engineer will design, develop, test, and improve the product using new technologies and agile practices. The role involves close collaboration with engineers and stakeholders to meet customer needs for the Intellifi MeshView platform. Responsibilities include software design, analysis of requirements, implementation, testing, debugging, and maintenance of software solutions. The successful candidate will be part of a full-stack team working on application development, system software architecture, software test development, and customer assistance. They will perform engineering tasks for a major project or projects of moderate complexity.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 6-8 years of active experience
  • Strong ownership and drive for feature development
  • Experience in software design, implementation, and debugging
  • Strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering
  • Experience with TypeScript and Python
  • Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and CI/CD
  • Experience with modern test frameworks
  • B2 English proficiency
Good to have:
  • Experience in containerized applications
  • QA experience in Web GUI and SaaS development
  • Good understanding of Amazon Web Services

Adtran seeks an outstanding Senior Engineer to work on its exciting Cloud-based Software-as-a-Service platform. Intellifi® MeshView is a flexible SaaS software that enables service providers to manage, optimize and monetize with insights and revenue-generating tools to create differentiated services, capture new subscribers and increase ARPU and ROI. Intellifi® MeshView is a component of Intellifi®, Adtran’s complete connected home solution purpose-built for CSPs. Just a few features of the Intellifi® MeshView: 

  • SaaS solution enables deployment in < 24 hours 

  • Comprehensive telemetry, including WAN status, firmware versions, radio status, signal quality and device PHY rates 

  • Near real-time logs and event data, and historical data up to 30 days 

  • Virtual field technician to enable remote troubleshooting, cutting up to $1000 per truck roll 

  • Distributed servers to ensure GDPR and country-specific data privacy compliance 

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and continually improving our product using new technologies and best agile practices, and will work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure the product meets the needs of our customers. 

You will be a member of a full-stack team responsible for designing, analyzing requirements, developing, implementing, testing, debugging, and maintaining software solutions for Intellifi® MeshView, including but not limited to the following:  application development, system software architecture, software test development, and customer assistance. Requires ability to perform engineering tasks for a major project or for projects of moderate complexity with limited direction. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform or assist in high-level and low-level software design and implementation of new features and enhancements to existing software.    

  • Perform or assist in feasibility studies of needed software development.    

  • Document the design including features definition and architecture.    

  • Conduct and participate in design reviews and code reviews.  

  • Plan and perform unit, acceptance and end-to-end level testing of implemented software modules and enhancements.  

  • Help fix software bugs found during all testing phases.  

  • Work with the team to deploy and test incremental software releases.  

  • Organize and coordinate development activities within schedule and product constraints.  

  • Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the Company.  

Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent education required.  

  • At least 6-8 years of active experience. 

  • Strong ownership attitude and willingness to drive feature development, integration, and QA efforts. 

  • Proven professional experience with software design, implementation and debugging. 

  • A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering.  

  • Experience with TypeScript and Python. 

  • Good understanding of the Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) aspects. 

  • Experience with at least one modern test frameworks (Jest, pyTest, Selenium, Robot Framework). 

  • At least B2 English and B2 Polish proficiency level. 

  • Excellent teamwork abilities and effectiveness in cross-site communication. 

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Experience developing in containerized applications (Docker or equivalent). 

  • Proven QA experience in Web GUI and SaaS development process. 

  • Good understanding of Amazon Web Services and cloud deployments (e.g. AWS EC2, AWS API Gateway, AWS S3, etc.).
