Digital Matte Painter - Mid

Job Description:

Digital Matte Painters (DMP) are responsible for creating Matte-paintings and set extensions, either standalone or to be integrated into both photo-real and stylised live-action environments. This position requires a solid understanding of Matte Painting techniques as well as strong creative talent.

Responsibilities:

• performing tasks related to integrating imagery into shots, preserving a unified sense of lighting, perspective, and color
  
• painting photo real environments, elements and textures for matching into live action plates or to stand on their own as DMP plates
  
• integrating matte paintings into 3D environments
  
• working with live action footage, still photography, and CG elements to create environments that can be flawlessly integrated into the project
  
•  Create matte paintings for sometimes complex camera-mapping;
  
• Obtain a level of realism based on the art direction of the project;
  
• Maintain the schedule given by the Production Coordinator;
  
• Perform tasks and corrections given by the Art Director by demonstrating analytical skill and proactivity;
  
• Organize the workload and prepare the presentation elements for validations;
  
• Communicate and search for solutions and information when necessary;
  
•  Maintain a good team dynamic.
