Fame House is looking for a passionate and experienced Photo Director to lead a small team in the development of best in class creative work for social, web and other forums, using lifestyle and product photography to support client objectives. The person in this role will lead and participate in the creation of concepts and development through to execution for a variety of creative initiatives where photography is required. A balance of creative and technical ability is crucial; bringing new, innovative ideas to client challenges is a must. Collaboration across departments to guide aesthetic and conceive unique creative solutions that drive successful results for our clients and campaigns is a daily part of this role.

How you’ll CREATE:

  • Oversee a wide range of photo shoots from in-studio product to lifestyle/location on model
  • Lead and mentor a small team to deliver elevated imagery that delivers on client vision
  • Ideate and drive conceptual development across projects, including  evergreen initiatives
  • Foster cross functional relationships and work in partnership with other creative teams
  • Continuously drive innovative and engaging visual experiences, maintaining cutting edge industry standards
  • Oversee and be aware of new technologies around camera, lighting, lenses, filter selections and other equipment required to meet internal and external creative requirements
  • Possess creative artistry to direct a team in the setup of lighting and other effects to achieve the client’s vision and portray proper mood of campaign, scene or merchandise
  • Offer creative visual solutions to the betterment of the end visual product – including retouching, editing, and other effects
  • Oversee an organized storage system for photography files/images
  • Assist in physical photoshoot setup and breakdown
  • Assist in the maintenance and care for all photo department equipment

Bring your VIBE:

  • 6+ years working in a creative field, preferably in a photo or design department
  • Degree in photography, art or related field
  • Expert knowledge of photographic technique, principles and equipment
  • Proven creative mind and visual communication skills
  • Expert use of Photoshop, CaptureOne and other photo editing tools with proven editing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage individuals and teams
  • Ability to work with different personalities and stakeholders to produce positive results for clients
  • Detail-oriented, self-directed, and able to set priorities for themselves and team members while managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Team player with a positive workplace attitude
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.  All candidates are encouraged to apply.
