Job Description

Sportskeeda seeks a contract Entertainment Writer to produce 4-5 articles daily, reviewing movies/TV shows, monitoring entertainment news and social media trends, pitching story ideas, and contributing to real-time coverage. The role demands excellent time management, independent work ethic, and the ability to meet deadlines. Responsibilities include thorough research, understanding industry terms, and success in breaking entertainment reporting. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Night shift work (7 PM to 3 AM IST) is required.

Must have:

Write 4-5 articles daily
Review movies/TV shows
Monitor entertainment news
2+ years experience
Meet deadlines
Excellent time management

The Opportunity

Experience: 0-3 years

Role: Contract

Key Responsibilities:

Write 4-5 articles a day.
Review movies/ TV shows (thorough research skills mandatory).
Monitor day-to-day sport entertainment news and keep tabs on social media trends, become familiar with Google Trends.
Pitch interesting story ideas.
Open to feedback from the editorial team.
Able to meet deadlines, available for real-time coverage of off field angles and sport entertainment pieces as and when they’re pushed out.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in English/ Journalism/ Mass communication is preferred.
Has at least 2 years of experience in entertainment reporting.
Understands industry terms and has previous success in breaking entertainment reporting.
Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.
Willing to work in the night shift (7PM to 3AM IST).
