We are looking to add new Football Tracking Systems Technicians to our operations teams focusing on our services within the LaLiga EA Sports and LaLiga Hypermotion. There may be opportunities to work across tournaments such as the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of sports technology collaborating with a dedicated and dynamic team.
Working day expectations:
Match Day -> Arrival up to 6 hours pre-Kick Off
Match Day -> End of day up to 2 hours post-game completion
There are also varied needs during the setup day/s which may require the assistants to be present on the day/s before match day.
The role requires the consultant to be flexible with work hours depending on the needs of the onsite team
We are searching for committed and passionate people to join our team. The team will provide you with the technical knowledge, assistance, and full exposure to our systems to perform match-day tasks and support your personal development and progression.

The main purpose of these services is to prepare the tracking systems at the stadium and monitor them during the match. These systems are the Electronic Performance Tracking System (EPTS) and Semi-Automated Offside Technology (SAOT).

Drive the van to the stadium and connect the power
Run fibre to the Outside Broadcast Cab and establish a link with stadium switches and cameras
Run cat6 to the Outside Broadcast Cab and establish a remote centre internet link
Check focus and line-up of cameras, adjust if needed following instructions from the remote centre
Monitor server status and health throughout the day
Connect SDI feeds and XLR communication lines
Connect SDI feeds with Host Broadcast for broadcast cameras and PGM
Calibrate cameras, add team lineups and conduct other pre-match checks
Check the audio lines with different parties
Operate the Virtual Reality system
Monitor our software during the games
Export files (if any are needed), process any data, and convert these files
Upload the necessary data after the match
Essential:
Bright and enterprising with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proactive, responsible attitude and ability to work on your initiative
Time management skills and ability to work in a high-pressure, procedural, live broadcast environment
Ability to liaise with stakeholders in a professional and approachable manner with attention to good communication.
Comfortable working in English (reading, writing and speaking) as you may need to interact with colleagues from other countries
Able to adapt to flexible working conditions with irregular working hours
Driving licence
Preferred:
A technical background, ideally in IT or Broadcast
An interest in sports and/or sports analysis, with a good knowledge of football and the rules of the game
Experience working on live events / technical production
Informatics and Networking skills
Prepared to travel locally and, if required, further afield in Spain
