A Day in the Life//Introduction:

  • We seek a creative game designer to join our team and work on puzzle and hybrid casual games. As a game designer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and implementing game mechanics, systems, and features that provide engaging and addictive gameplay experiences for our players.

The Impact You’ll Make//Responsibilities:

  • Using the latest technologies, conceptualize and design gameplay mechanics, systems, and features for hyper and hybrid casual puzzle games.
  • Create and iterate on game prototypes to test and refine gameplay mechanics and features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including artists, developers, and producers, to ensure cohesive game design and implementation, fine-tune game balancing, pacing, and feel.
  • Analyze gameplay, user experience with available data, and external and internal playtesting.
  • Stay on top of current mobile, PC, and console gaming trends.

Who You Are//Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 4 years of experience as a game designer, focusing on hyper and hybrid casual games.
  • Strong understanding of game design principles, mechanics, and monetization, particularly in the puzzle genre.
  • Advanced analytical skills, ability to spot patterns and trends
  • Experience with balancing game systems (difficulty, reward, economy, etc) and funnel optimization
  • Experienced with creating mock-ups and design documents
  • Experienced in communicating with programmers, leading them through the execution of your designs, and giving feedback

Additional Strengths//Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Unity is a huge plus
  • Familiarity with Figma or similar visual collaboration software
  • Experience and general knowledge of working with AI tool
  • Track record of publishing/working on a successful hypercasual, casual, or AAA title.
