Job Description

The Information Technology Manager will lead the hotel's daily IT activities, ensuring all standards and the IT Security Policy are followed regarding hardware, software, and data safety. Responsibilities include proper backup of business data, supporting stand-alone systems connected to the network, point of sales systems, and related interfaces. The role involves executing IT projects, managing the annual IT budget responsibly, and consulting with vendors for equipment setup and maintenance. Ensuring software usage and installation comply with licensing laws, assisting with overall hotel management, and adhering to departmental and safety policies are also key duties. The ideal candidate will have previous IT experience in a hotel setting, understanding of TCP/IP networks, and strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Job Description

         

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
  • Lead the hotel’s day-to-day IT activity ensuring all standards are followed
  • Comply with the company’s IT Security Policy as it pertains to hardware, software, security/data safety
  • Ensure proper backup of all business related, user relevant data
  • Support the hotel’s stand-alone systems, including but not limited to, systems connected to the Network, point of sales systems, all related interfaces, file server, UPS related devices
  • Take the lead on and execute all IT projects at the Hotel, while supporting and working closely with the Regional and Corporate IT teams
  • Prepare and administrate the annual IT budget in a fiscally responsible manner
  • Work and consult with hardware and software vendors to setup and maintain all required equipment
  • Ensure that the usage and installation of software is in accordance with the software licensing laws
  • Assist in overall Hotel management responsibilities as needed
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures
  • Follow all safety policies
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in an IT role in a hotel setting required
  • Microsoft Certified Software Engineer preferred
  • Understanding of TCP/IP networks
  • Understanding of hotel applications an asset
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Previous Accor experience is a plus 
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
  • Highly responsible & reliable with exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work cohesibly as part of a team
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
