Scopely's Flamed team in Barcelona seeks a Principal 2D Artist to lead the creation of 2D assets for an exciting new game. Responsibilities include directing the 2D art team, ensuring visual consistency, collaborating with UI/UX and marketing, providing feedback to artists, and working with the rendering team on paintovers. The ideal candidate possesses advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, experience leading a team, and a strong portfolio showcasing UI and promotional assets. Experience with AI image generators is a plus. The role is hybrid, based in Barcelona.

Scopely is looking for a Principal 2D Artist to join our Marketing team Flamed in Barcelona Office on a Hybrid basis.

We are the in-house creative agency Flamed, an International multidisciplinary team. We build thousands of creatives every year to support all Scopely games' marketing needs worldwide.

What You Will Do

We are in the early stages of developing an exciting and action-packed game. As Lead 2D Artist, you will direct the creation of 2D assets that will be used in both in-game and marketing contexts.
  • Lead the 2D art team in creating high-quality assets, including UI elements, icons, and splash art.
  • Ensure visual consistency and quality across all 2D assets.
  • Collaborate with the UI/UX and marketing teams to align assets with the overall game vision.
  • Provide direction and feedback to 2D artists to ensure timely asset delivery.
  • Work With the Rendering team to assess the use of paintovers when necessary.

What We’re Looking For

  • Demonstrated ability as a 2D artist, with experience leading a team.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and other 2D art tools.
  • Capacity to adapt to new tools such as AI Image Generators.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your best 2D artwork, including UI and promotional assets.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
