Scopely is looking for a Senior Accessibility Specialist to join our Slate Development Group team in Barcelona on a hybrid basis!

Slate Development Group owns Scopely’s editorial and content strategy, including the company’s greenlighting, Game Development Framework (GDF), studio strategy (organic and inorganic) and slate-wide budget and investment strategy.
What You Will Do :
As an Accessibility Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our games are welcoming and accessible to everyone, including players with motor, cognitive, vision, hearing, or other disabilities. Your primary focus will be to serve as the main liaison between the game team and various internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that accessibility is integrated into every phase of our game development process.
  • Act as the primary contact for all game teams, coordinating with external partners and managing the review and feedback processes.
  • Orchestrate, coordinate, and consolidate feedback into detailed reports with actionable recommendations.
  • Coordinate across multiple departments including age ratings, compliance, QA, legal, corporate communications, marketing, localization, social media, customer experience, and others to ensure seamless integration of accessibility features.
  • Engage directly with disabled gamers to involve them in the development process and gather crucial feedback on accessibility features.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders like UX directors and designers to ensure accessibility is prioritized from the initial stages of development.
  • Promote knowledge sharing by developing internal training, speaking at conferences, and publishing articles on accessibility best practices.
  • Foster ongoing relationships with the accessibility community and industry experts to remain at the forefront of accessibility in gaming.
What You Will Need:
  • Demonstrated experience in accessibility, user research, UX design, or a related field.
  • Good understanding of video game production processes and accessibility best practices.
  • Advocacy-oriented mindset with a high respect and consciousness for all types of disabilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail, understanding the impact of design choices on user experience.
  • Proven ability to influence change and motivate others to support accessibility initiatives.
  • Highly collaborative and innovative spirit with excellent organizational, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
