Job Description

The Principal Engineer will be responsible for creating procedures, implementing processes, and developing staff for managing and maintaining security systems across internal and client environments. This role involves close collaboration with management, senior engineers, solution architects, and clients to deliver critical services. Key responsibilities include analyzing risk and prioritizing vulnerabilities, performing enterprise-wide networking scans, understanding the threat and vulnerability management process, defining scan policies and audit policies, and generating scan reports. The Principal Engineer will also be responsible for monitoring dashboards and configuring them. The position requires experience with vulnerability management tools and a strong understanding of relevant infrastructure. The role is a 24/7 support position requiring on-site presence.
Must have:
  • Experience with Threat and Vulnerability Management tools (8+ years).
  • Experience with vulnerability management processes and tools (5+ years).
  • Analyze risk and prioritize vulnerabilities, validating reports and driving remediation.
  • Experience with enterprise-wide networking scanning and credential scans.
  • Understanding of the threat and vulnerability management process.
Good to have:
  • Knowledge of Unix, Windows and AWS infrastructure, basic understanding of administrative functions to support patching queries.
  • Familiarity with compliance requirements and frameworks (e.g., ISO, NIST, SOC).

Job Details

The Principal Engineer will be responsible for creation of procedures, implementation of processes and development of staff for managing and maintaining security systems across internal and client environments.  The Principal Engineer will work closely with Management, Senior Engineers, Solution Architects, Senior Security Engineers, other Principal Security Engineers and clients to complete high profile, critical services to existing Managed Security Service clients.  Serve as a subject matter expert and team lead for Managed Security Services, staying in tune with all client configuration issues and all internal projects.

  • Experience analyzing risk and prioritization of vulnerabilities, validating vulnerability reports, and driving remediation.

  • Experience with performing enterprise-wide networking scanning, agent scan, and container, including a credential scan of UNIX, Windows, Network devices, and VMware

  • Understanding of the overall threat and vulnerability management process, including metrics to measure performance

  • Knowledge of Unix, Windows, and AWS infrastructure, basic understanding of administrative functions to support patching queries.

  • Responsible for defining scan policies and audit policies

  • Responsible for adding scan credentials

  • Responsible for Scheduling scans

  • Responsible for Generating Scan Reports

  • Responsible for the Analysis and validation of the scan results.

  • Responsible the Monitoring the dashboards.

  • Responsible for defining and configuring dashboards

  • Ability to foster collaborative, open, working relationships with technology and other stakeholders.


What we’re looking for

  • 8+ years relevant experience working with Threat and Vulnerability Management tools.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with vulnerability management processes and tools (e.g., Tenable, Qualys, Nmap, Lumin, Brinqa.)

  • Experience analyzing risk and prioritization of vulnerabilities, validating vulnerability reports and driving remediation.

  • Experience with performing enterprise-wide networking scanning, agent scan, container, including credential scan of UNIX, Windows, Network devices, and VMware

  • Understanding of the overall threat and vulnerability management process, including metrics to measure performance

  • Knowledge of Unix, Windows and AWS infrastructure, basic understanding of administrative functions to support patching queries.

  • Responsible for defining scan policies and audit policies

  • Responsible for adding scan credentials

  • Responsible for Scheduling scans

  • Responsible for Generating Scan Reports
