Job Summary
Job Description
As a General Ledger Accountant, ISS seeks a highly driven and skilled professional to join our team. In this capacity, you will be in charge of managing the accounting procedures for our EMEA region. Daily financial operations and month-end obligations will be your main priorities. You will ensure prompt and accurate activity recording while collaborating closely with the finance team to achieve pressing month-end requirements.
Must have:
- Manage EMEA region accounting procedures.
- Handle daily financial operations and month-end close.
- Ensure accurate activity recording and collaborate with finance team.
- 3-8 years accounting experience in multi-national organization.
- Expertise in general ledger, bookkeeping, accruals, prepaid amortizations.
- Experience in fixed asset reconciliation, depreciation, statutory audits.
- Proficient in accounts finalization and month-end close process.
- Review, approve invoices/expenses, post journal entries.
- Prepare balance sheet, MIS, and bank reconciliations.
- Conduct financial analysis, prepare reports, manage projects.
- Independently finalize financial statements.
- Understand TDS & GST provisions for Indian companies.
- Analyze trial balance and make adjusting entries.
- Transact with banks, government, and suppliers.
- Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance (5+ years experience).
- Proficient in MS Office and accounting software.
- Excellent English communication (speaking/writing).
Good to have:
- Experience in SAP.
- Experience in Swiss or German GAAP companies.

Overview:
As a General Ledger Accountant, ISS seeks a highly driven and skilled professional to join our team. In this capacity, you will be in charge of managing the accounting procedures for our EMEA region. Daily financial operations and month-end obligations will be your main priorities. You will ensure prompt and accurate activity recording while collaborating closely with the finance team to achieve pressing month-end requirements.
Responsibilities:
- 3 - 8 years of Accounting Experience in a multi-national organization (or)
- 3 - 8 years of Experience in accounting functions such as general ledger accounting, Bookkeeping, accruals, prepaid amortizations & Month close.
- Experience in fixed asset reconciliation, depreciation, compiling data for statutory auditors, Accounts finalization & month-end close process.
- Reviewing & approving invoices, and expenses, Posting & processing journal entries in the accounting system.
- Can prepare Balance sheet reconciliation, MIS and bank reconciliations.
- Can handle projects, prepare reports and financial analysis as requested by managers from EMEA/USA
- Can independently handle month-end close. Finalization up to the preparation of financial statements.
- Good understanding of TDS & GST provisions and return filing for Indian companies.
- Ability to analyze trial balance, look for corrections and make the necessary adjusting entries.
- Transact with banks, government representatives, and suppliers.
- Assistance in accounting duties for EMEA markets.
- Other tasks as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or relevant field with 5+ years of Experience
- CA inter, with 3 years of experience with Articleship is preferred.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and familiarity with accounting software
- Good command of the English language (Speaking and Writing)
- Great attention to detail
- Experience in SAP is preferred.
- Experience in Swiss or German GAAP companies is preferable.
