The Scheduling Specialist at Warner Bros. Discovery manages scheduling processes for MAX in EMEA, collaborating with the Scheduling Director and other specialists. Key responsibilities include ensuring scheduled content is available on the platform, complying with rights and business objectives, supporting the Director with scheduling systems, executing content plans, developing reporting and automation, and liaising with internal and external stakeholders. The role also involves creating contingency plans, monitoring content rights, collaborating with global teams, and working closely with localization and content operations teams to ensure timely availability of content. The ideal candidate possesses solid scheduling experience in digital media or streaming platforms, excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to work effectively under pressure.

Your New Role


Responsible for managing the Scheduling processes for MAX in EMEA working closely with the Scheduling Director/Manager and other Scheduling Specialists in overseeing overall relationship with internal media departments (Media Supply Chain, Acquisitions, Programming & Strategy, Editorial). Ensures scheduled content is available on platform in compliance with rights and business objectives. Support the Director as the go to person for the scheduling and planning systems, supporting the team in ensuring the content plans are executed correctly across all territories and affiliates.


Your Role Accountabilities

  • Within the planning & scheduling team takes ownership and lead the scheduling for the assigned markets/region, ensuring we execute both the long- and short-term strategic content plan for MAX EMEA and the D+ platforms correctly and on time.
  • Support in developing reporting and automation to maintain an overview of all content types, and work with Planning Managers to ensure we have an even flow of content being released on the platform at all times.
  • Communicate and liaise with internal teams and stakeholders around content schedule plans, updates and changes to ensure alignment across the HBO Max EMEA content, marketing and operational teams and wider cross-functional teams.
  • Create and communicate detailed contingency and business continuity plans for anticipated and unanticipated changes to the schedule.
  • Monitor content rights to ensure that content is scheduled and published to MAX (and sunset appropriately) to align with contractual license periods.
  • Build strong collaborative relationships with the Global HBO MAX Content team as well as counterparts in LATAM and APAC, to enable system alignment, the sharing of best practice and participating in global projects as required, ensuring EMEA has a strong voice around the table at all times.
  • Close cooperation with localisations and Content Operations, ensuring the timely availability of localisations (subs and dubs where customary).
  • Team will act as key point of contact with operations and acquisitions when there are delivery delays that will affect content premiere dates for assigned content types to ensure these are updated and reflected in the systems.


Skills and Experience

  • Fluent in English.
  • Solid scheduling experience in digital media/stream platforms or network.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communications skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the organization.
  • Possess strong organizational skills.
  • Able to work well under pressure, complete projects successfully and respond to changing demands and priorities whilst maintaining a flexible and positive attitude.
  •  Business oriented with strong negotiation/mediation skills.
