As a software engineer, you are an essential part of the game creation process and are involved in the feature design and implementation of the game and live service. You will report to a Sr Software Engineer.
Job location: You will work in Shanghai.
Responsibilities
Review and fix security vulnerabilities in server-side code
Design, implement, and monitor server-side security metrics to detect and predict cheating activities within the game
Develop high-quality tools and anti-cheat systems, both in-game and external, to help the identification and sanction of cheating activities, and minimize their impact on user experiences
Collaborate with data analysts to analyze game logs and player behavior data, using advanced technologies including machine learning to identify cheating activities within the game
Collaborate with team members, stakeholders, operational teams and external partners to understand the anti-cheat needs and deliver solutions
Demonstrate influence via conversations and teamwork, and provide guidance to feature team members regarding game security
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related fields
Proficiency in at least one of Java, Python, C or C++
Proficiency in algorithms and data structures
Knowledge of common networking protocols (e.g. TCP, UDP, HTTP and Webstock)
Knowledge of container and serverless technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS)
8+ years of experience with a relational database such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, or a data warehouse like Snowflake, Redshift, or Spark
3+ years of experience working with big data analytics to solve, prevent, or monitor for problems
3+ years of experience in machine learning techniques
5+ years of experience in at least one shipped large online mobile game security
5+ years of experience in the Agile/Scrum methodology
8+ years of experience in version control software such as Perforce and Git
Solid conversational skills with all kinds of personnel
