Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Operations, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 14 years of experience in management consulting, an operations-related function, or equivalent field; or 12 years with an advanced degree in business, finance, or accounting.
  • 5 years of experience directly leading a team.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with accounting/finance ERP systems, business processes, and related system controls.
  • Experience managing large cross-functional projects, including risk assessment and control in payables/receivables operations.
  • Experience leading complex, global operations and system implementations in a cross functional and fast-paced environment and managing complex escalations, balancing business and technical risks.
  • Experience as a product manager for a business-to-business or business-to-consumer product/service, with a focus on successful partnering with engineering groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with an outsourced service provider in operations, source-to-pay, or other relevant areas.

We are looking for creative problem solvers focused on creating great Googler experiences while proactively mitigating risk by finding innovative, automated solutions to improve and standardize these complex sets of processes and systems. You will work to ensure the highest level of quality of our operations by setting the direction and partnering with key stakeholders in Engineering, Product, Finance, and Legal as well as collaborating externally with our external partners and banking institutions.

The Finance Operations team manages Google's cash transactions on a global basis and ensures that Google's incoming and outgoing cash processes are controlled, effective, and efficient. We face unique opportunities in scaling our varied businesses effectively while enabling our fantastic product and services teams to grow at an unprecedented pace. We design processes that work internationally while accommodating local needs and we provide rapid tactical and strategic responses to challenges, ensuring the positive impact is lasting. We take on new leadership opportunities every day and have the autonomy to identify and execute projects that will benefit Google for years to come.

As a member of this team, you will manage a team of individuals that find innovative ways to transform the operations. You'll grow on making processes more efficient and scalable, work to ensure the highest level of quality of our operations, and proactively minimize operational risk.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of globally and regionally focused individuals across the source to pay process, ensuring flawless operational execution, identifying and driving process improvements, and overseeing the implementation of initiatives for future scalability.
  • Manage a team overseeing global supplier enrollment, PO creation, invoicing, and payment operations executed by our BPO partner, to deliver process excellence focusing on efficiency, quality, controls, and compliance to local regulations.
  • Lead your team to leverage data to identify, prioritize, implement, and measure process improvements that enhance and optimize the control environment, drive standardization and continuous improvement, and scale with growth.
  • Lead your team to partner with various business and Finance teams to implement end-to-end process improvements: determine constraints and dependencies, define timelines, allocate resources, assist with testing, evaluate design alternatives and implications on operations, and help drive projects to completion.
