Job Description

As a Senior HR Business Partner at Jagex, you will collaborate with leaders across the business, particularly with game development teams, to implement strategic people initiatives. Key responsibilities include providing expert guidance on people-related matters, designing and executing initiatives to improve organizational effectiveness, talent development, and team engagement. You will also leverage video game industry knowledge for best practices, support leaders with employee relations and organizational changes, and analyze people data to drive decision-making. This role offers the opportunity to shape employee experience and contribute to the creation of enduring games for players.
Must have:

Job Details

Location: Cambridge, UK – Hybrid available with approx 2 days in office per month.

As a Senior HR Business Partner at Jagex, you’ll work closely with leaders across the business, particularly with our game development teams, to deliver strategic people initiatives.

You’ll bring deep insights into what it takes to support and scale high-performing creative and technical teams.

This is a pivotal role within our People Team, offering the opportunity to shape the employee experience, influence organisational design, and support leaders with data-driven, people-first solutions that contribute to our long-term vision of continuing to create forever games for our players.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Partnering with senior leaders across the organisation, providing expert guidance on all people-related matters.
  • Designing and implementing strategic people initiatives to improve organisational effectiveness, talent development, and team engagement.
  • Leveraging video game industry knowledge to guide best practices in performance management, succession planning, and workforce planning.
  • Supporting leaders with complex employee relations cases, organisational change, and team dynamics.
  • Collaborating with Talent Acquisition, L&D, and Hr Operations teams to deliver a cohesive employee lifecycle experience.
  • Analysing people data and metrics to drive decision-making and present insights to senior stakeholders.
  • Coaching and mentoring HR colleagues and leaders to continuously elevate our people practices.

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Senior HR Business Partner or equivalent role.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience working closely with leadership teams to influence business outcomes.
  • Deep understanding of employment law, HR policies, and best practices in the UK (and ideally international).
  • Track record of successfully delivering large-scale organisational and cultural change initiatives.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, scaling organisation with a mix of onsite, hybrid and remote workers.
  • Strong examples of using data-driven solutions to shape decisions and measure impact.
  • Passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion and embedding inclusive practices across the employee journey.
