As a Senior Lead Animator, you'll configure asset structures and implement static and animating content for Class 2/Class 3/ATLS/Digital Games across various EGMs. Responsibilities include developing character and FX animation for video gaming projects, collaborating with designers and artists, focusing on content implementation, ensuring high-quality asset delivery, managing time efficiently within an agile environment, and conducting peer reviews. You'll also contribute to game documentation, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and propose innovative solutions to improve game art development. The role demands strong 2D/3D animation skills, proficiency in software like After Effects, Spine, Photoshop, 3DS Max, and Maya, and excellent communication skills.
Must have:

To configure asset structures and implement static and animating content to support Artist and game developers for

Class 2/Class 3/ATLS/Digital Games across different EGM and be responsible for ensuring high quality standards of games art assets being delivered.

What You'll Do

  • Develop/Update character animation and / or FX animation for video-based gaming projects. 

  • Collaborating with game designer, Art Director, Lead Artist and production team members to understand needs, review scripts, design storyboards, and create and edit animations. 

  • Focus on Content implementation pipeline  

  • Listening to feedback and altering animator to suit game theme. 

  • Using creativity and artistic techniques to tell a game feature or provide information in visual form 

  • Ensure relevant processes in regard to asset management, file organisation, output configuration are clearly and correctly executed 

  • Schedule and manage time efficiently – work with agile development leaders to plan work 

  • Deliver assets on time to specification with a thorough and complete attention to detail 

  • Responsible for having peer reviews to check work for accuracy and quality 

  • Various other duties include: 

  • Game Documentation as per business need 

  • Collaborate with multi-disciplined teams to achieve the highest quality games possible 

  • Follow guidelines set by BLS management to manage / develop art animation/assets to support business 

  • Bring in ideas/innovations to improve the overall games art development in terms of tools, processes etc. 

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree/BFA/MFA or equivalent work experience in 2D/3D gaming, 2D/3D animation, particle simulation 

  • Work experience of 6-10 years in relevant field. 

  • Strong knowledge of 2D, 3D graphics fundamentals, stop motion and computer-generated animation. 

  • Proficient in CGI software (Adobe After Effects, Spine, Adobe Photoshop, 3DS Max, Maya & various AE plugins etc.)  

  • Ability to sketch or draw (digital or traditional) concepts and ideas, storyboarding is good to have. 

  • Experience in using Assets control systems (Perforce) and Microsoft Office Suite will be a plus. 

  • Prior experience in the gaming industry will be a plus. 

  • A good eye for attention to detail and be willing to follow technical/compliance specifications, adaptability and receptiveness to feedback and direction. 

  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with global stakeholders 

  • Ability to work independently or with a team to develop animations and solve problems.
