Job Description

As a Senior Marketing Manager at MiQ, you will be responsible for ensuring brand consistency across global markets and driving brand awareness and revenue in Canada. This includes developing marketing messaging, planning and owning internal and external events, scoping new commercial relationships, collaborating on thought leadership collateral, planning and submitting award proposals, drafting press releases, and tracking marketing ROI. You will also lead a junior team, fostering innovation and improving client experience. The role requires experience in B2B marketing and media relations in Canada, with some exposure to digital media or ad-tech. The ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workloads, problem-solve, and work well in a team environment is crucial.

Senior Marketing Manager 

Reports to: Head of Commercial Enablement

Location: Toronto, Canada

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a key member of the Marketing team, you will be joining a team that includes a marketing manager and designer to develop a roadmap of growth and accomplish amazing business outcomes. Responsibilities

This is a big job, with a lot going on, but the main things you’d be responsible for would be: 

Ensuring our brand and messaging is consistent across global markets, owned channels and activities and driving brand familiarity, reach, awareness and tangible revenue opportunities for the business in CanadaDeveloping marketing messaging for the MiQ Canada product suite

  • Planning and owning internal and external MiQ owned and sponsored events; work with Commercial team to ensure invite/attendee lists align with business objectives
  • Scoping new commercial relationships with media and vertical associations and keeping on top of what’s hot in the industry
  • Collaborating with internal teams and client stakeholders to deliver thought leadership collateral to support the business, commercially, and to make MiQ easier to buy, sell and to understand i.e. reports, interviews, videos, etc.
  • Planning and collaborating with internal leaders and clients to draft and submit award proposals to amplify MiQ Canada’s name within the industry
  • Draft and distribute press releases, announcements, and other editorial materials to key Canadian trade publications
  • Define, track, and report on marketing ROI across channels and segments to feed into future campaign planning
  • Providing leadership to the junior team members, coaching modelling behaviours and taking an active role in the teams’ development
  • Last but not least, we want you to foster a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging new ideas and solutions that help us improve client experience

What will make you successful in this role

  • This is a key role for our team, and we are looking for someone who has managed and developed PR initiatives and projects as well as lead media relations in Canada
  • Having worked in B2B marketing is going to be key in understanding this job quickly so that you can make an impact
  • Having some exposure to digital media or the ad-tech space will help you ramp up faster in this role. If you have never heard of programmatic advertising, this is probably not the right role for you
  • We move fast, so an ability to meet tight deadlines and prioritize workloads is very important for this role
  • You’ll be leading a team, so being able to problem-solve and stay positive in the face of challenges will definitely help you succeed
