Job Description
The SEO Analyst - Pop Culture role at Absolute Sports involves optimizing website content across various platforms for improved search engine rankings. Responsibilities include keyword research, on-page optimization (meta descriptions, title tags, internal linking), content strategy collaboration, performance analysis using Google Analytics, competitor analysis, technical SEO audits (identifying indexing issues, 404 errors, etc.), and reporting to SEO team leads. The ideal candidate possesses strong SEO knowledge, analytical skills, and experience with SEO tools like Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, and Semrush. The role requires excellent communication and writing skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace, and basic HTML knowledge. Experience with CMS and content publishing is essential.

Key
Responsibilities
- Keyword Research: Conduct thorough keyword research based on intent to identify high-performing and relevant keywords for website content optimization.
- On-Page Optimization: Optimize website content w.r.t. Keywords density, , meta title, meta description, Heading Tags, contextual internal linkings, tags, and other on-page elements to align with targeted keywords based on SEO best practices for optimization.
- Content Strategy: Collaborate with content creators to develop SEO-friendly content that aligns with the overall strategy and meets the needs of the target audience.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze website performance using tools like Google Analytics. Provide regular reports on key SEO metrics, trends, and insights to stakeholders.
- Competitor Analysis: Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities. Conduct regular analysis to identify opportunities for improvement and maintain a competitive edge.
- Tech SEO: Conduct technical site audits to identify issue like indexing, 404 error codes, improper rendering, low page load speed, broken links, etc. and suggest recommendations to resolve the same
- SEO Audits: Perform regular SEO audits to assess the effectiveness of existing strategies and recommend adjustments for continuous improvement.
- Proven experience as an SEO Analyst or in a similar role with Projects and case studies
- In-depth knowledge of SEO best practices, search engine algorithms, and ranking factors.
Requirements
- Effective communication skills including a solid understanding of English grammar and professional writing ability.
- Good Knowledge of Microsoft Office / Google Doc, sheet (particularly Microsoft Word, Google sheet and Doc).
- Good understanding of SEO and content management systems.
- Ability to work with large data sets.
- An ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere.
- Outstanding ability to think creatively, and identify and resolve problems. Self-motivated and enjoys working in a fast-paced and results-driven
- Strong analytical skills and ability to understand, report and act on data. Innovative, inquisitive and effective problem solver.
- Communication to team on project development, timelines, and results
- Provide SEO analysis and recommendations in coordination with elements and structure of websites and web pages
- Report to SEO Team Leads with successes, progress and project completion.
- Basic Knowledge of HTML.
- Ability to work on CMS to publish the content on the pages and fix the basic on page issues like Title, Description, Heading ( H1 to H6) , anchor text etc. The person should know how to do text formatting, table formatting and implementation of superscripts and subscript in Google doc as well as in Microsoft word.
- Front-end auditing for published pages using the guidelines.
