About the Role & Team

DISNEY SOURCING COMPLIANCE & OPERATIONS is part of the Disney Experiences division and functions within the Parks Product Development & Retail (PPDR) organization. The PPDR organization is passionate about product design & strategy, merchandise sourcing, and supply chain management. Through these centers of excellence, we deliver high quality, innovative product that is responsibly sourced to consumers in retail channels around the world, while providing an outstanding guest experience. We handle the supplier lifecycle for the Disney Store and Disney Parks retail locations. We also lead all aspects of the onboarding, exiting, licensing, compliance, and balanced manufacturing of these suppliers!

As the Sourcing Contract Manager, you will be responsible for leading the efforts associated with the contract lifecycle for the businesses and will review, draft, revise and negotiate contracts, supervise supplier compliance, and contract performance, recommend improvements of contract processes, and ensure contract accuracy. You will work with internal clients/peers and external suppliers to acquire the deal terms needed for each contract then communicate and own the workflow of all contract stages. You will raise sophisticated legal issues to Disney attorneys and assist with the resolutions. You will review, draft and revise form agreements and be responsible for proper SOG documentation related to the contract management duties and responsibilities and will lead special contract-related projects, as needed.

What Will You Do?

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of standard and non-standard license agreements, service agreements, and other legal documents as requested.

  • Prepare detailed summaries of agreement terms.

  • Coordinate follow-up, execution, and distribution of approved documents.

  • Compare and proofread agreements and related materials.

  • Create, organize, handle, and maintain library of form agreements and negotiated language.

  • Assist in creation of and maintenance of technological solutions for improved flow of information, including data entry and maintenance of databases.

  • Identify standard methodologies, processes, and procedures to achieve departmental efficiencies.

  • Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned or requested

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Paralegal Certification required and/or meet the qualifications to work as a Paralegal set forth by the American Bar Association and any applicable State codes.

  • 3 years or more of paralegal experience.

  • Strong PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and other Office 365 suite of tools.

  • Interact well with all levels of personnel with ability to communicate clearly.

  • Willing to take “ownership” of projects and think proactively.

  • Ability to be flexible in all work situations.

  • Excellent written, verbal, research, analytical and social skills.

  • Detail oriented, with accurate input and proofing skills.

  • Work efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding environment while optimally meeting deadlines.

  • Operational and organization awareness.

  • Self-starter with ability to multi-task, excellent work ethic, judgment, and commitment to handling assignments and confidential information with professionalism and integrity.

Education

  • A bachelor’s degree and/or qualifications to be a paralegal by certification or education and work experience as set forth by the American Bar Association and any applicable State codes.
