As a Product Designer at AlphaSense's FinData Client Experience team, you'll play a key role in evolving the financial data offering. You'll collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other designers to seamlessly integrate two systems into a user-friendly experience. Responsibilities include designing and validating user experiences using various UX artifacts, serving as a user advocate, contributing to the visual design language, and fostering a positive team culture. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of experience designing digital products, proficiency in interaction and visual design, and excellent communication skills. Experience with B2B products and financial data is preferred but not required. You will be responsible for building impactful products by understanding user pain points and translating business requirements into functional designs.

About the Team:

The FinData Client Experience team is a cross-functional group of Product, Design, and Engineers working to bring financial data onto the AlphaSense platform. We work across all mediums our clients use to engage with financial data, including Web and Excel Tools. We work closely with our FinData Content team, that includes sector focused financial analysts, to understand and prioritize data availability and coverage. We are passionate about understanding the needs of our customers and making financial data easily consumable to support our customers key workflows. We believe our diverse experience in the finance and software industries position us to innovate and change the status quo of financial data in fundamental research platforms.

About the Role: 

We’re currently seeking a seasoned Product Designer to contribute to the evolution of our Financial Data offering, seamlessly integrating two systems into a cohesive, user-friendly experience. We’re looking for a collaborator who can work across multiple projects, partnering with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and other designers to deliver a unified platform that delights users and meets business objectives. This role requires a strong background in interaction design, visual design, and information hierarchy. We’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves, sweat the details in Figma, and help build impactful products. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Design and validate new user experiences through mockups, wireframes, flow diagrams, sketches, and other UX artifacts.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and stakeholders to bring product and business requirements to life
  • Serve as a user advocate, deeply understanding their pain points and needs through research, and championing these insights across the organization
  • Contribute to and leverage our visual design language and internal Design System to maintain consistency and coherence in product design
  • Foster a positive culture within the product team, tackling challenges with optimism, grit, and persistence

Who You Are:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience designing digital products with a strong portfolio of design work across the end-to-end design process, from discovery to production ready designs
  • Proficient in creating top-notch interaction and visual designs, with strong interest in UI and data visualization
  • Bias for action, high ownership, and capable of tackling ambiguous problems and delivering clear solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, adept at visually presenting designs and justifying decisions to teams and stakeholders
  • Collaborative mindset that fosters the extraction of optimal ideas from team discussions
  • Experience in B2B products and knowledge or interest in Financial Data preferred but not required

Base Compensation Range*: $115,000 - $135,000
Additional Components: You may also be offered a performance-based bonus, equity, and a generous benefits program.
*For base compensation, we set standard ranges for all US-based roles based on function, level and geographic location, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies and internal comparables. In order to be compliant with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share salary ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience/expertise and may vary from the amounts listed above.
