SSDE I - Python Developer, JioCinema

Our engineering team defines the technical architecture and drives itself to build systems that serve billions of requests per day, cosmic scales of video content streamed every day, with ultra-low latency design and high reliability. We make sure every byte of video content gets to millions of viewers, at the highest quality possible. We are growing fast and looking for talented Engineers who are up for one of the biggest yet outcomes in the video streaming business as we gun to be the primary destination for digital first entertainment in India and make JioCinema accessible to every Indian.

What will you do ?

• Establishing and following best practices, and setting them for your team
• Applying technical and domain knowledge within your scope, with an understanding of surrounding systems to solve complex problems at scale
• Developing High-Level Designs (HLD) and Low-Level Designs (LLD) involving multiple systems
• Collaborating with product managers, architects, and senior engineers to derive consensus on solution approaches
• Breaking down complex problems into incremental deliveries within larger projects
• Effectively prioritizing work and regularly updating backlogs
• Participating in team on-call activities, identifying recurring issues, and taking action to address root causes. Ensure proper documentation, visibility, and reliability of the components you own
• Mentoring junior engineers and participating in the hiring process to recruit top talent
  
  
  
  
  

Who should apply for this role ?

• Developers with B.Tech/B.E/Masters in Computer Science from a reputable college or a related technical discipline
• Developer with 5+ years of experience in backend software development
• Developers with proficiency in Python
• Developers with experience in building high-scale distributed systems
• Experienced in designing and developing low-latency and high-scale microservices
• Developers with proficiency with code versioning tools such as Github
• Prior experience in making data store choices, with proficiency in at least one of RDBMS or NoSQL data stores such as MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis
• Experienced in building asynchronous systems
• Developers with excellent troubleshooting skills and CI/CD tools
