As a Systems Engineer Product Configuration Management, you will be responsible for implementing and constructing product configurations and enabling seamless design transfer from development teams to the operational organization. Your key responsibilities include maintaining an overview of all supported configurations, supporting decisions on project scope related to product configuration management, structuring the implementation of project deliverables in configuration management systems, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and business policies. The role requires a deep understanding of system engineering documents and the ability to navigate a complex organization.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in product configuration management.
  • Experience with SAP and Windchill.
  • Understanding of development process dynamics.
  • Experience in driving configuration definition activities.
  • Experience in managing systems engineering documents.
  • Ability to understand team dynamics.
  • Fluent in English and a confident communicator.

Job Description

As a Systems Engineer Product Configuration Management, you will play a key role in implementing and constructing product configurations and enabling seamless design transfer from development teams to the operational organization.  

Your role:

  • Maintain overview of all supported configurations as part of our product portfolio
  • Support decisions on project scope and scope change related to product configuration management enabling seamless design transfer
  • Support and structure the implementation of project deliverables in the configuration management systems in operations and development domains
  • Ensure compliance to the relevant regulations and business policies

You're the right fit if you have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Engineering or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in dealing with the practical management of to design transfer of a complex product portfolio.
  • Experience with SAP and Windchill or other DHF (design history file) related tooling.
  • An understanding of development process dynamics and how to ensure configuration decisions are taken correctly at enterprise level.
  • Experience in driving multi-party configuration definition related activities to closure.
  • Experience in managing a comprehensive set of systems engineering documents related to configuration management
  • Ability to deeply understand the drives of your team members and be able to constructively navigate a complex organization
  • Fluent in English, careful and confident communicator

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
