We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Thumbnails Designer to join our dynamic team in SiGMA. In this role, you will be responsible for creating visually compelling and engaging thumbnails that capture attention and drive viewer clicks. Your designs will play a key role in increasing viewership and engagement across various platforms, including YouTube, social media, and blogs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design Engaging Thumbnails: Create eye-catching thumbnails that effectively communicate the video or content’s main theme and entice viewers to click.
- Content Understanding: Review video content or descriptions to understand the narrative and target audience in order to design thumbnails that align with the brand’s tone and purpose.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with video editors, content creators, and marketing teams to ensure the thumbnails are consistent with the overall brand identity.
- Use of Graphic Design Tools: Utilize graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite and Figma to create high-quality designs.
- Maintain Brand Consistency: Ensure all thumbnail designs adhere to brand guidelines, including typography, color schemes, and visual style.
- Optimize for Various Platforms: Adapt thumbnails for different platforms (e.g., YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and websites) to maximize impact.
- A/B Testing & Data-Driven Design: Analyze performance metrics (click-through rates) and make design adjustments based on insights from A/B testing to improve engagement.
- Stay Updated with Trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest design trends, techniques, and platform guidelines to ensure thumbnails are current and competitive.
- Fast Turnaround: Manage time efficiently to meet deadlines, especially in a fast-paced content production environment.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 1-3+ years of experience in graphic design or a related field, with a good portfolio of design work.
- Proficiency: Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), Figma or similar design tools.
- Creativity & Visual Storytelling: Strong understanding of visual storytelling with the ability to simplify complex messages into a single, impactful image.
- Attention to Detail: Keen eye for layout, typography, color schemes, and visual composition.
- Time Management: Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with team members.
- Understanding of Digital Platforms: Familiarity with YouTube, social media, and content marketing trends.
- Aesthetic Sense: A strong sense of aesthetics with a focus on creating visually appealing, bold, and vibrant designs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing thumbnails specifically for YouTube or other video platforms.
- Understanding of SEO principles, especially as they relate to video content and thumbnails.
- Experience with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere, Adobe After Effects or Final Cut Pro is a plus.
