Unity Game Developer - 12 Months Fixed Term Contract

As our Unity Game Developer, you will collaborate closely with a talented and diverse team, including game designers, artists, technical artists, and animators, to bring our innovative ideas to life. Your passion for creating high-quality games will contribute to Aristocrat's standing as one of the largest gaming companies in the world. Your primary focus will be on developing rapid prototypes for games based on specifications from our Game Designers.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate closely with other artists, game designers, and developers to rapidly prototype games.
• Contribute to game design and art as needed to ensure a seamless and engaging player experience.

What We're Looking For

• Experience: 2+ years of professional experience in game development, with a focus on art, game design, and/or programming, OR independently released game(s) publicly listed on the App Store/Google Play Games.
• Unity Expertise: Strong knowledge of Unity for developing and prototyping a wide variety of game genres.
• Art & Animation Skills: Proficient in creating and utilizing existing art assets and sprites for game prototyping. Experience with Photoshop (or similar 2D software) and animation software such as After Effects or Spine 2D is highly desirable.
• Design Principles: A solid understanding of fundamental design principles, usability, flows, and UI design.
• Passion for Gaming: A deep passion for and obsession with games.
• Source Control Knowledge: Basic knowledge of source control software, specifically Unity Version Control.

Nice to Have

• Experience with 3D software such as Blender or Maya.
• Skills in UV mapping and texturing.
• Experience with app advertisement.
• Completed studies in art, design, digital media, or a related field.

Interview Process

You will be interviewed and asked to program a simple gameplay sequence on-site. Please allow approximately 90 minutes for the entire interview and programming process.
