How We Operate
[P1] works by selecting positive-impact nonprofit and open source game projects worthy of community support and then collaborates with volunteers to organize the volunteer workforce needed to complete such games.
Role Description
This is a remote volunteer role for a Junior Systems Designer at [P1] Games. The Junior Systems Designer will be responsible for assisting in the design and balancing of game systems and mechanics under the guidance of senior design staff.
Responsibilities
As a volunteer Junior Systems Designer, you have the flexibility to choose your own hours and set your own deadlines. Since we are a volunteer organization, you may choose the responsibilities you feel confident in at any given time:
- Assisting in the creation and documentation of game systems and mechanics.
- Collaborating with the design team to test and balance gameplay elements.
- Collecting and analyzing player feedback to inform design decisions.
- Supporting the implementation of game systems in collaboration with programmers and artists.
- Helping to maintain design documentation, including feature specifications and balance sheets.
- Participating in design discussions and brainstorming sessions.
