Game Systems Designer for Coromon: Rogue Planet. Experience with monster-taming games and roguelites is a must. Strong understanding of game balancing and mechanics.

Are you passionate about monster-taming games and roguelites? Do you have a knack for game mechanics, balancing, and innovative gameplay design? We're an indie studio crafting the next great monster-taming Rogue-lite, and we're looking for a Game Designer to help push the boundaries of our gameplay! 🕹️

About us:

At TRAGsoft, we’re driven by a love for creating unique, engaging monster-taming experiences. After the success of Coromon, our debut RPG, we’ve embarked on an exciting new journey with Coromon: Rogue Planet, a spin-off that brings fresh innovations to the genre.

Our team thrives on collaboration and creativity, always looking to push the boundaries of what’s possible in game design. We’re passionate about delivering thoughtful, balanced mechanics that elevate the player experience. If you share a deep understanding of gameplay systems and a love for monster-taming or roguelites, we’d love for you to join our talented team in shaping our next adventure!

  • Capable of working independently and meeting deadlines.
  • No coding required—just a passion for gameplay design and mechanics

What you will be doing:

  • Balance and Innovate Character Classes: Develop new gameplay styles for character classes, pushing the boundaries of the monster-tamer genre while maintaining core battle mechanics.
  • Balance Overworld Events: Optimize run algorithms (e.g. how many Coromon, how strong should they be, what rewards should they give, etc…) and design new types of events to enrich the overworld experience.
  • Enhance our item pool: Come up and balance a set of items unique to our Roguelite spin-off.
  • Improve Game Mechanics: Provide insightful feedback on existing mechanics to enhance overall game balance and pacing.
