Playrix's Township team seeks a 3D Generalist to create high-quality 3D models, textures, and renders for their game, aligning with their existing 2D style. Responsibilities include modeling objects, characters (including low-poly characters), and match-3 elements; texturing (UV mapping and texture creation); rig creation and animation; retopology; and model preparation for integration into the game engine. The role requires proficiency in Blender, Photoshop, and Substance Painter/Designer. Game development experience is a plus. The position offers a flexible remote work arrangement.

Team, about the role

We at Township are constantly producing new content and improving what already exists. The project's visual style is based on 2D graphics, but we actively use 3D modeling and rendering for its production. We're now looking for a talented 3D Generalist who can create quality models and beautiful renders in the game's style. In addition, you'll need to occasionally do low-poly 3D character work, as 3D characters are used in some parts of the game.

Tasks

  • Key role: creating 3D models (objects, characters, match-3 elements) based on concept art or references, tuning materials, lighting, and subsequent rendering

  • Working with textures (UV mapping, creating textures for models)

  • Rig creation and character and object animation

  • Retopology, preparation of models for animation, and integration into the engine


Requirements

  • Portfolio of work in a casual style

  • Confident use of Blender

  • Experience with texture packs: Photoshop, Substance Painter/Designer

  • Experience in game development will be a plus
