Application Engineering Manager, Workday Platform

As an Application Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of engineers and business analysts in meeting the application needs of Google’s internal customers. You will manage the ideation, design, planning, implementation, and deployment of solutions across the Workday third-party and Google first-party tech stack, with an emphasis on rapid iteration and sustainable engineering practices. Responsibilities include managing and directing end-to-end projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring application engineers, managing project schedules, identifying execution risks, and developing tools and processes to improve engineering productivity. The role requires experience managing engineers, development experience in large-scale enterprise systems (preferably in HR or Workday), and familiarity with Agile methodologies, SOAP/REST APIs, and GCP services.
