The Associate Logistics Claims Analyst at Tesla's Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg is responsible for driving operational excellence and process compliance within the supplier and carrier base. Key responsibilities include issuing claims for damages, transportation penalties, and lost freight; analyzing data to reduce claim frequency; reviewing and harmonizing inbound logistics requirements; managing projects to improve claim resolution processes; and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The role requires strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with experience in supply chain management and automotive processes. International experience and fluency in English and German are essential. The analyst will work in a central office environment with occasional travel to carrier locations.

What to Expect
The Logistics Claims Analyst is chartered with driving operational excellence and process compliance within Tesla’s supplier & carrier base. Flawless and structured execution in the supply chain is a critical enabler for efficient and effective operations at Tesla’s production & service facilities, to ultimately enable timely delivery of products to customers. The Logistics Claims Analyst’s primary scope is to claim and recover logistics related costs due to e.g. damages or non-compliances in the inbound logistics operations, ensure carriers and suppliers are aware of the requirements. Drive improvements in collaboration with internal stakeholders to reduce issues and improve performance of logistics operations. This role will require cross-functional engagement within Tesla and across the extended supply chain. 
What You’ll Do
  • Issue claims to insurances, carriers, or suppliers due to damages, transportation penalties, lost freight, etc. 
  • Analyze and drive improvements to reduce the frequency of claims by working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review Tesla’s inbound logistics requirements to harmonize the requirements and communicate these to the different stakeholders.
  • You manage projects to improve and develop new tools to monitor and improve the process for reporting and resolving claims.
  • You will be located in a central office environment. Additionally, you may need to drive to carrier locations to discuss improvement possibilities and maintain a good relationship.
  • In order to be successful, you are collaborating with Procurement, Logistics, Supplier Compliance, Material Handling, Packaging and Accounting 


What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor in Supply Chain, Business Administration or similar discipline/ equivalent experience 
  • At least 2 years of work experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or other process critical operations and/or relevant experience or evidence of exceptional ability. Experience with automotive supply chains and processes a significant plus  
  • Detail oriented and organized – meticulous in identifying and diagnosing problems and careful in drawing right conclusions and solutions 
  • Ability to evaluate and analyze data to enable operational decision-making or present clear recommendations to leadership 
  • Passionate and relentless in following up on issues until a final resolution achieved and sustained process improvements are deployed and verified 
  • Great communicator, both internally with the team and with other Tesla stakeholders as well as externally with carriers, feeling comfortable having difficult conversations 
  • Demonstrated experience delivering results in an unstructured and fast paced environment. Flexibility and adaptability are key 
  • You have experience in working internationally and you speak fluent English and German. 
  • A valid driver license
