The Associate Malware Research Engineer is responsible for daily analysis and research of malicious software, investigating its behavior and impact. This includes creating detection and removal methods, assisting in the development of removal tools, and writing malware descriptions for the Security Response Team. The role involves reverse engineering malware to understand its functionality, developing detection and remediation code, researching new technologies and vulnerabilities, and creating/maintaining technical documentation. The engineer will handle case reports, escalate difficult cases, and report engine bugs. The position requires strong teamwork, analytical skills, and communication abilities, with a focus on problem-solving and a rapid learning curve.
