As a Principal Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of malware detection. You will work on building robust, scalable, and intelligent detection systems that combine machine learning, advanced file analysis, and innovative security techniques. You’ll be at the forefront of the cybersecurity space, solving real-world challenges with state-of-the-art technology. In the first 6-12 months, you’ll focus on architecting next-gen malware detection pipelines using Python and SQL, developing and optimizing malware detection algorithms using C/C++, crafting tools for static malware analysis, leading productization efforts in Kubernetes environments, applying expertise in networking protocols, innovating with machine learning, building and optimizing distributed data pipelines, and enhancing detection capabilities.

Your Impact
As a Principal Software Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of malware detection. You will work on building robust, scalable, and intelligent detection systems that combine machine learning, advanced file analysis, and innovative security techniques. You’ll be at the forefront of the cybersecurity space, solving real-world challenges with state-of-the-art technology.


In the first 6-12 months, you’ll focus on:
Architecting next-gen malware detection pipelines that leverage advanced Python and SQL, ensuring high performance and scalability in real-world production environments.

 

Developing and optimizing malware detection algorithms using your ex pertise in C/C++ and deep knowledge of PE/ELF file formats, enabling us to detect even the most complex threats at the file level.
 

Crafting tools for static malware analysis, utilizing assembly language to develop techniques that detect obfuscated, polymorphic, or advanced persistent threats.

● Leading productization efforts by deploying detection components in Kubernetes (K8s) environments, using Docker and Helm to ensure seamless automation and scaling.

Applying your expertise in networking protocols (TCP/UDP, HTTP, VPNs) to
improve detection of network-based threats and build advanced network-layer defenses.

Innovating with machine learning by applying classification models, YARA rules, and cutting-edge cybersecurity techniques to stay ahead of emerging attack vectors.
 

Building and optimizing distributed data pipelines using frameworks like Apache Beam to collect, process, and analyze data in real-time for actionable insights in malware detection.
 

Enhancing detection capabilities using Elasticsearch and Kibana to fine-tune
detection rules and drive continuous improvement in threat detection efficacy.

Education/Experience

Bachelor's degree in engineering/computer science and 8+ years of related experience or Masters degree in engineering/computer science and 6+ years of related experience

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $108,000 - $192,000 

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
