The New York Times is seeking an experienced, ambitious editor to run the Business desk’s investigations team, a small group of reporters whose mandate is to produce agenda-setting accountability journalism.
The ideal candidate is someone with many years of experience editing and managing reporters and complex investigations. The team’s projects in recent years have focused on a diverse range of topics, including the country’s air traffic control system; pharmacy benefit managers; cutting-edge tax avoidance techniques; and hospitals, nursing homes and unnecessary medical procedures.
This is an excluded, hybrid position, based in New York City and includes regular attendance in the office each week per your departmental guidance.
