Dun & Bradstreet is seeking a Commercial Director in Budapest to drive sales and revenue growth. This role involves accurate forecasting and reporting, leading and inspiring the sales team, and building strong relationships across the region. The Commercial Director will serve as the central communication point between country sales and back-office functions like GTM, marketing, data, customer service, commercial operations, value-added services, tech, and people. The position requires strategic vision and a dynamic approach to shape future success in Hungary. Responsibilities include managing all sales and revenue activities, acting as a figurehead for employees, monitoring company affairs and competitor activities, implementing business plans, evaluating subordinates, ensuring CRM data accuracy, and guiding pre-sales efforts.

Join Dun & Bradstreet as our Commercial Director in Budapest!

As the Commercial Director, you will be at the forefront of driving sales and revenue growth, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting. Your leadership will inspire and guide the market, fostering a collaborative and motivated sales team. You'll be the key figurehead, building trust and strong relationships with employees across the region.

In this pivotal role, you'll act as the central communication hub, seamlessly connecting country sales with essential back-office functions such as GTM, marketing, data, customer service, commercial operations, value-added services, tech, and people. Your strategic vision and dynamic approach will be instrumental in shaping the future success of Dun & Bradstreet in Hungary.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all Sales & Revenue activities in the country (including Forecasting, Reporting)
  • Direct reporting line into Head of Sales CEE
  • Member of the CEE Leadership Team
  • Provides strong leadership and clear direction in Hungary, leading the sales team but also acting as a figurehead to build trust and relationships with employees across the region
  • Acts as central communication point between country Sales and back-office functions (GTM/ Marketing/Data/Customer Service/ Value added services/ Commercial Ops/Tech/People)
  • Carefully and actively monitors the conditions affecting on Company’s affairs, including analysis of competitors and external factors, propose to the Board the measures it deems necessary
  • Implements the adopted annual business plan of the Company
  • Is responsible for regular evaluation of direct subordinate managers and their development
  • Ensures excellent CRM data accuracy on opportunity level (ongoing monitoring)
  • Guides Business Consulting on the priorities (pre-sales focus Large)

Your profile:

  • 3+ years of experience in a Commercial Director Role, preferably in B2B sales
  • Demonstrates broad experience in transforming Sales organizations into a growth engine
  • Knows how to build a performance-driven culture and drives a systematic performance management process (beyond the compensation plan)
  • Demonstrates excellent networking skills cross-border and cross-function
  • Combines hands-on management with strategic thinking
  • Growth-minded & Challenger Sales mentality, pipeline/results-oriented
  • Sees chances, not challenges
  • Knows D&B solution suite and translates product know how into customer use cases
  • Good understanding of competitor products & strategies
  • Demonstrates excellent customer understanding
  • Role model negotiator
  • Proficient in designing and presenting business cases
  • Experienced in operating in premium and large customer environments
  • Routine in running C-level meetings/pitches
  • People player – knows how to motivate different personalities
  • Knowledge of the operations of all functions of the business
  • Strategic thinking
  • A strong digital mind-set and an experience from working with multinational companies
  • Experience in the field of B2B sales, leadership and working in multinational environments
  • A positive and flexible attitude with great collaboration skills 
  • Excellent communication and writing skills in Hungarian and English.
