This an exciting opportunity for a passionate multi-disciplined writer to work alongside and learn from a collective of content strategists, creative thinkers, account leads, and producers.

Our offering spans an award-winning multinational footprint across UK London, Manchester, Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane), Asia, Middle East, & North America (New York, Pittsburgh, Phoenix).

As Content Marketing Specialist, you will be tasked with owning all editorial and copy within the content department. You will source and manage freelance writers, develop everything from day-to-day social content to long-form eBooks, blogs and ghost written content, in collaboration with the wider social and agency team. As part of your role, you will also copy edit articles, newsletters and whitepapers for the pharmaceutical and global governance sectors. You will research and proof read and ultimately take responsibly for the quality of editorial from our team. You’ll QC content work, ensuring it’s of the highest possible standard and to a client’s TOV, guidelines and general writing best practice before being shared with the client.

Working closely with Creative Director and reporting into the Managing Partner, this position sees you play an integral part in building, managing and maintaining strong relationships with our direct client contacts as we bring the brands they represent to life in content through, but not exclusively, social and digital.  You’ll conduct robust, insightful content audits with actionable outcomes and you will also have an interest and acumen for strategic content planning as you will also support our content strategists and planners to formulate solutions that set our content up for success. You will have experience in a range of different kinds of writing, across different industries both B2C and (with firm experience in) B2B.

In this role you will join a truly agile, creative and forward thinking team as you navigate all exciting areas of client writing. Our clients span industries from tech to finance, health, professional services, social platforms, lifestyle and autos – it’s a broad range and you’re the kind of person who enjoys stretching your writing with different styles, tones and formats according to the client need. While the role is broad, much of the editorial we produce is designed for C-Suite and senior leaders so you will have experience in writing for this audience, or an understanding of how to adapt style accordingly.

You will be a go-to content writing and research specialist in the agency and stay on top of this exciting, ever-changing space in which you will learn something new every day, and impact editorial wisdom to others.

Your role will also see you lend your expertise, insights and advice to the wider Red Connect network, working with the social team across other markets to ensure quality and consistency as relevant. You will take ownership of Red Connect’s LinkedIn presence and be excited about developing the business’ voice and audience on the platform.

You will be well versed in best practice social content creation and can ideate, manage freelance writers, present your work to senior client stakeholders and craft your own ideas with minimal direction.

You’ll be the first and last written content touchpoint, ensuring design matches copy, and both copy and design then collectively meet the brief. You will be the sort of person who takes pride in excellent written work and fostering a culture of excellence within the team.

If you have a passion for writing content that people value, and delivers value for clients, then we are the agency for you If you don’t want to be boxed into one medium, and typecast by a particular comms discipline, and are excited about a role that stretches you into a vast array of directions, then we’re definitely for you.
