Corporate & syndicated lending - the principal Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the technology systems that support the LPM platform. This role involves ensuring that the application is optimized, reliable, secure and aligned with the business objectives. The principal engineer will work closely with business stakeholders to define product roadmaps, prioritize features, and ensure that the application aligns with company's goals. The principal engineer will also ensure the solution remains secure, scalable, and efficient, while providing ongoing support and enhancements.
Manage the complete lifecycle of the LPM application, from design and development to deployment, support and upgrades
Continuously assess and improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of the application
Identify, evaluate, and integrate new technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance the application's functionality and maintain its competitiveness in the market
Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, and key stakeholders to understand business goals, define product vision, and ensure that technical roadmaps align with strategic objectives.
Champion Agile and DevOps methodologies and processes within the team, ensuring that development cycles are iterative and business-driven
Plan, organize, coordinate, assign, and monitor all aspects of a technical team, and redirect efforts as needed to meet operational and project requirements
Act as the primary owner and subject matter expert for Corporate & syndicated lending applications, overseeing system functionality, upgrad
Must have
10+ years of experience in software development with proven track record in developing and supporting corporate lending or loan portfolio management solutions.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or related field.
Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks and strong knowledge of database technologies
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and microservices architecture
Proficient in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization
Certifications in cloud technologies, Agile, or PMP are advantageous
Familiarity with financial systems, regulatory compliance, and security best practices
Proven track record of successfully managing and improving of IT services.
Problem solving and analytical thinking with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast paced, collaborative environment.
