Job Description

As the Director of Core Product Engineering Operations, you will be contributing directly to the vision, and implementation of end-to-end product delivery and optimization strategies. You will be building out a new team, reporting directly to the VP, Core Product Engineering. This role involves driving operational efficiency, ensuring effective communication, and coordinating with project teams. You will also represent the Core Product Engineering Organization in marketing and sales efforts, providing data-driven feedback for improving the software development lifecycle.

As the Director of Core Product Engineering Operations, you will be contributing directly to the vision, and implementation of end-to-end product delivery and optimization strategies.  This is a brand new role, where you will be building out a new team, reporting directly to the VP, Core Product Engineering and being an integral part of the Engineering leadership team.

In this cross-functional role, you will:

  • Work as a strategic information conduit from Product Management to Core Product Engineering
  • Drive operational efficiency initiatives
  • Ensure inter-domain communication flow and information share
  • Contribute to overarching process improvements and delivery metrics
  • Coordinate with project teams ensuring delivery accuracy, traceability, quality and product features
  • Coordinate with the multiple development organizations, and our development operations on norms and standardization of tooling and strategy therein
  • Represent the Core Product Engineering Organization, and the products developed, as part of marketing and sales efforts
  • Collect and articulate data points as they relate to the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Provide data driven feedback and guidance for improving the SDLC

You will have extensive experience in:

  • Driving communication effectively & efficiently throughout an entire development organization
  • Product/Program and Project management
  • Thought leadership and team direction, demonstrating strong stakeholder management
  • Operational efficiency management in large software development teams
  • Functional Safety and Cybersecurity Software Development Lifecycle management
  • Creative problem solving, demonstrating accomplished resilience & influencing skills
  • Requirements management tooling (JAMA/DOORS/Enterprise Architect)
  • Data analysis and modeling
  • Driving accountability throughout a cross-functional software development organization
