As the Director, Workforce Engagement (Europe), you will report to the Global Head of Workforce Engagement and work closely with our partners across functions to develop strategies and drive initiatives that promote positive employee experiences that are both compliant with local labor requirements and culturally relevant.
The Workforce Engagement team strives to ensure that the organization is equipped with the knowledge, tools and support systems necessary to maintain healthy, productive relationships with our diverse, creative workforce. In partnership with other members of People Experience (HR) and legal, we ensure our policies and practices take the full worker experience into account and mechanisms are in place to meaningfully monitor and respond to shifts in sentiment related to their experience.
Responsibilities:
Partner with local partners to develop and implement country and region-specific labor strategies in support of our desired workplace culture and in compliance with local laws.
Continually assess the external employment and labor landscape across the region and identify potential impact to EA’s business and talent strategies.
Work across various levels of the organization to influence programs, practices, and organizational adjustments that preserve and enhance positive workforce relations.
Partner with senior leaders and internal/external counsel to represent EA’s interests in labor contract negotiations (as needed).
Advise senior leadership regarding highly sensitive workforce matters
Identify and implement solutions to mitigate risks to positive workforce engagement.
Support multi-level training programs designed to ensure positive workforce engagement and ongoing compliance to local labor laws and best practices.
Implement processes to efficiently respond to time-sensitive workforce engagement matters.
Monitor applicable CBAs (Collective Bargaining Agreements) to ensure ongoing compliance with terms and remediation of any identified risks.
Qualifications:
You have a Bachelor's degree in a related field; Advanced degree in HR or Employee/Labor Relations a positive.
8+ years in Employee Relations or related roles directly reacting to and managing complex employee relations issues or advising corporate clients about employment policies and programs
You have experience building and auditing corporate procedures with an 'employee experience' mindset
Excellent written and engagement skills
Experience working with employees and managers in a global matrixed organization to resolve issues and perform root cause analysis
Experience advising and working with partners at varying levels of seniority
Experience with European labor and employment laws and a familiarity with the region’s HR practices
Can deal with complex issues while maintaining composure.
Experienced advocate who uses good reasoning
Experienced in collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and making recommendations based on people-related data
Experience in tech, entertainment or gaming industries preferred.
Job can be hybrid to one of our major European locations (UK or Stockholm)
Some travel required as needed
