As an Engineering Manager for the DevOps Platform Team, you will lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-accountability engineering culture. You will own and evolve CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows, supporting internal teams in transitioning to Kubernetes and containerization. Your responsibilities include driving automation, ensuring incident response, optimizing performance, and providing consultancy on best practices. You will also communicate effectively across teams and management, providing transparency into service stability and delivery progress. This role involves shaping how development teams build, ship, and operate services at scale, ensuring stable, reliable, and optimized environments for Wargaming studios worldwide.
Must have:
  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related fields
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience
  • Experience with CI/CD systems and container orchestration
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python, or Go)

Job Overview

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Engineering Manager for our DevOps Platform Team – someone who is ready to take ownership and lead from the front in maintaining smooth and secure operations across our infrastructure and services. In this role, you’ll play a key part in shaping how our development teams build, ship, and operate their services at scale. As a leader in our DevOps Platform team, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams, driving excellence in our CI/CD processes and enabling a smooth transition for internal teams to containerized environments. Our mission is to ensure stable, reliable, and optimized environments that power the development and operations of all Wargaming studios worldwide – connecting us to a global audience of over 100 million players. What will you do?

Team Leadership

  • Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers providing regular feedback and career growth support.
  • Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and high-accountability engineering culture.
  • Plan, prioritize, and track team activities and objectives aligned with strategic goals.

Operational Excellence

  • Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows that empower internal teams to develop, deliver, and scale products efficiently.
  • Provide strong support for internal product teams as they transition to Kubernetes, helping them adopt containerization and modern deployment practices.
  • Drive automation of deployments, configuration, and operational tasks to reduce manual efforts and increase system reliability.
  • Ensure incident response and resolution is fast, effective, and well-documented. Support the team in managing on-call rotations. 

Reliability & Optimization

  • Lead initiatives to optimize performance, resource usage, and reliability of products and their designed services.
  • Work closely with development, QA, Products teams to ensure seamless integration and high service uptime.
  • Identify pain points and create long-term solutions for sustainable infrastructure.
  • Provide consultancy and support to internal teams on the best practices for service delivery.
  • Communicate effectively across teams and management, providing transparency into service stability, incident status, and delivery progress.

What are we looking for?

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related field, with at least 1–2 years in leadership.
  • Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD systems, container orchestration and infrastructure automation
  • Deep understanding of system monitoring tools · Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or Go) and familiarity with cloud infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving and incident management skills.
  • Effective communication and leadership qualities with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
The salary range for this role in Vilnius is EUR 7000-9000 monthly gross.
